I graduated in 1999 at the University of Portsmouth with a Degree in
Computer Science. I am now an active professional member of the British Computer
Society (MBCS) and an MCP in Windows XP. I am also a Chartered IT
Professional and working for an IT company's HQ as a
Network Analyst.
I support 2K/2003 Servers on a corporate WAN, Digital and Analogue
Phones with MS-Windows & Office, mainstream & 3rd party
applications.
I have passed an ITIL Foundation course in IT Service Management. I
passed the exam with 34/40 and hope to take a Practitioner course in
the future.
The training I have received in Windows, DOS, Unix and Server
software compliment my interests in computer security.
I have written several security applications and utilities,
including whitepapers on securing operating systems. This includes
the implementation of operating system security patches, anti-virus,
personal firewalls, backup solutions, intrusion detection and
encryption to secure home computers for myself and for my friends &
family.
It s a great job with a mix of technical skills required to solve
various IT problems. I document technical processes to build a
strong knowledge base of answers.
I live in the South of England, Great Britain. I commute to work
with a free fuel card, and I'm enjoying use of the new company car
that was supplied to me. |
